Silver Hill
Concord, Massachusetts
Working to emphasize the intimate relationship existing between the river landscape and a 1960's modernist house, we reorganized and renovated the structure to provide clear lines of approach as well as adjusting the flow into spaces by squeezing and opening spaces through the placement of walls. From two powerful views in the landscape came a spatial organization about two axial corridors, each brings the eye to these focal points. A wetland path and marsh vista will guide processions through the home, harmonizing its spaces and offering an appreciation for the spaces beyond.
